#3 of 3 ‘Fingerstyle Improvisation’ Online Workshops with Mark Hanson!

Mark continues with the third of his three-session course on learning to improvise new melodies for solo fingerstyle guitar instrumentals. He calls it: “Improvising Fingerstyle Guitar: From Fundamentals to Fingerpicking Freedom!”

This is a great course for players new to improvisation, as well as for players who already experiment with fingerpicking “freedom.” Plenty of hands-on playing during the sessions, plus notation/TAB PDFs.

Mark’s systematic approach teaches an understanding of what melodies are (and can be!), how to play them and to alter them while maintaining rhythmic and harmonic support in the bass. The courses start simply, playing melodies on top of a steady drone bass, progressing to improvising melodies on top of an alternating-bass and, lastly, with a less structured approach in the bass.

All workshops will be held  online on Saturdays from 10am-11:30am PDT, which is 1-2:30pm EDT and 17:00-18:30 GMT. The price is a total of $119 for all three workshops.
