Mark Teaches at Swanannoa Gathering in North Carolina

Mark returns to Asheville, North Carolina, July 23-29 to teach and perform at the annual Swannanoa Gathering Guitar Week. The venue is Warren Wilson College.

Mark will teach three classes daily: a group ensemble class (come in standard tuning first day!), an advanced fingerpicking class, and the Music of John Renbourn. John was a longtime guitar hero of Mark’s. He learned many of John’s pieces, published several of John’s tunes in his books, and became friends with John when he taught two years at Mark’s Accent On Music Seminar in Portland, Oregon, and lived in his house!

Mark is teaching for another English friend, guitarist Clive Carroll, whose visa difficulties are keeping him from entering the USA in time. Clive asked Mark to sub for him, and thankfully Mark is available! Mark will give a solo concert Saturday eve the 29th just up the road in Wolf Laurel Community. See the next calendar listing.
