Twice a year my private students have the opportunity to show off what they have been learning to my other students, family and friends. The next recital is coming right up, September 24! As we have done since early 2020, these recitals are online through Zoom. Students submit self-made videos which I put together in a Power Point (KeyNote on a Mac!) and broadcast to everyone at the appointed time. Great fun is had by all! Mark continues his appearances at Portland's hospitals-on-the-hill to play for the preemies, their parents, nurses and volunteers. It is heart-warming to watch how these tiny people, who largely cannot yet see, turn their heads towards the music -- all gentle, quiet, slow and loving. Good for the soul.
