Acoustic Guitar Summit Plays in Wilsonville, Oregon

Mark and his hotshot fingerstyle guitar buddies Doug Smith and Terry Robb begin their 23rd annual series of holiday concerts at Meridian UCC (“Frog Pond” church) in Wilsonville, just south of Portland. Tickets will be available in the autumn of 2017.

Mark Teaches & Performs in Santa Barbara in August!

This summer Mark performs and teaches in Santa Barbara at the second annual Santa Barbara Acoustic Instrument Celebration (SBAIC.com). The event occurs August 25-27, 2017. 2016’s luthier showcase was great fun, full of beautiful instrument displays, workshops, and hotshot concerts. Mark concertizes on Saturday night with Peghead Nation’s Teja Gerken and Acoustic Guitar Magazine’s Doug Young. Mark’s “Travis Picking from the Ground Up” workshop takes place Sunday at 1:15 p.m. Info & Tickets. Album-Release Concert in Portland!

Mix Grammy-winning guitarist Mark Hanson with Young Audiences’ National Artist of the Year Greta Pedersen, add Diana Ross keyboardist/jazz great George Mitchell, and you have the recipe for a fabulous evening of music. The husband-and-wife team celebrates the recent release of their duo album “Then & Now” with a concert on Saturday, March 4, at Tabor Space at 5441 SE Belmont in Portland.
